This website

Hosting. This website is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare acts as a processor pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR). Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data (including IP address, date and time of access, page requested) to deliver the website and protect it against abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and functional operation (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

Cookies and tracking. This website itself does not set any analytics, marketing, or tracking cookies. Fonts, images, and scripts are served exclusively from our own server — there is no connection to Google Fonts or any other external provider.

Link to Tally. The "Try it" button leads to a sign-up form hosted by the external provider Tally (Tally Labs Inc.). This website itself does not transmit any data in doing so — only once you click the button do you leave friendlyping.app and land on Tally's page, which has its own privacy policy. Tally may process data outside the EU; see Tally's privacy policy for details.

Contacting us by email. If you contact us by email, we process your details (email address and message content) solely to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to inquiries), or Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where the inquiry relates to entering into a contract.

The Friendly Ping app

Local storage. Your settings (e.g. reminder times, chosen sounds, self-written pings) are stored exclusively on your own device. They are not transmitted to us or to any third party.

Anonymous usage statistics. The app counts certain events (e.g. how often a ping was played) in aggregated form to help us improve it. Only THAT and HOW OFTEN something happens is counted — no device, installation, or advertising identifiers are ever created or transmitted, nor are timestamps, nor the wording of self-written pings. This counting runs through the service provider Supabase. Because no unique identifier of your device is transmitted, this statistic cannot be traced back to a person.

Notifications. Reminders are scheduled and triggered locally on your device, not via a push service with an external, person-identifying component.

Retention period

Hosting connection data is automatically deleted after a short period unless it is needed to investigate a fault. We delete email inquiries once they have been fully handled and no statutory retention obligations apply.

Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and objection (Art. 21) regarding your personal data. Simply contact us at the email address above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority is:
