About
Why this app exists, who is behind it — and what we are actually trying to do.
Our Vision
May I be completely happy and live in love and peace.
May all beings be completely happy and live in love and peace.
May my thoughts, words, and actions contribute, in their own way, to this happiness and freedom for all.
This is our North Star. For a conscious world.
Our Mission
Well, in a few years it will be a matter of common sense to very many people that they are one with the universe. It will be so simple.
And then, maybe, if that happens, we shall be in a position to handle technology with more sense – with love instead of hate for our environment.
This quote has been in the app since the first version. It is the reason it is built the way it is.
Over the centuries, humanity has made enormous technological progress, from industrialization to the development of artificial intelligence. These technologies have brought us tremendous achievements – modern medicine that saves countless lives, or space travel that let us look back at our own planet for the very first time.
Yet more and more people intuitively sense that our progress has become too one-sided. It is high time we develop our psychological, cognitive and spiritual capacities just as much. This is exactly where we want to make a meaningful contribution – using the most advanced tools technology has to offer.
Mindfulness isn't a place you visit, and it isn't something that only counts on the cushion. It shows up exactly where your day already is — mid-meeting, mid-conversation, mid-decision. You don't have to wait for the right moment. It's already here.
That's exactly what Friendly Ping is about: small Micro-Meditations that carry your practice from the meditation mat into these moments. No elaborate ritual, no long session — just 10–30 seconds, no equipment needed, right in the middle of life.
Every mindful second becomes a small contribution: to your own peace — and to peace for all.
Who We Are

Friendly Ping grew out of Zen.Here.Now – an Instagram community about mindfulness and meditation that I, Dr. Stefan Borja Bammesberger, founded.
By day, I head development at a robotics company for lab automation – so my background is thoroughly rational and scientifically sober.
And that's exactly where my journey began. I noticed how my own thoughts kept pulling me out of the present moment and out of my mindfulness. Searching for answers, I came across Buddhism – and was struck by how precisely and clearly it describes this very challenge. That inspired me to go deeper.
Along this path I'm accompanied and inspired by people like Eckhart Tolle, Alan Watts, Thich Nhat Hanh, Mooji, Hinnerk Polenski – and, not least, the Buddha himself as well as Albert Einstein. Today I am a Buddhist.
It's my heart project: this is where all my passion for mindfulness and meditation flows. On Instagram & TikTok I share impulses, thoughts, and inspiration around this theme – feel free to stop by:
